International Symposium on Ubiquitous Virtual Reality (ISUVR) is an international symposium for state of the art in research on ubiquitous virtual reality. Emerging ubiquitous computing paradigm accelerates the convergence of different technologies to enrich the quality of services and user experience. With this trends, for the past years, International Symposium on Ubiquitous Virtual Reality (ISUVR) has been a successful event where participants can exchange interdisciplinary research ideas about "Ubiquitous VR" with other researchers from different backgrounds. Thus, it would be timely to initiate a forum to discuss and share ideas on "Fun in Ubiquitous VR" which combines various technologies to enjoy Ubiquitous VR systems/applications in the field of AR/MR/VR. The aim of this symposium is to facilitate intellectual exchange on working-in-progress research activities with the world's most active researchers invited to ISUVR 2012.

This year, we are pleased to invite you to participate in International Symposiumon Ubiquitous Virtual Reality (ISUVR 2012) with the theme "Fun in Ubiquitous VR", held August 22-25, 2012 at KAIST, Daejoen, South Korea. The purpose of "Fun in Ubiquitous VR" in this symposium is combining various technologies to enjoy Ubiquitous VR systems/applications. We invite original and innovative idea papers on "Sharing fun in Ubiquitous VR" in the areas of Web 2.0, social computing, context-awareness, ubiquitous-, mobile-, and wearable computing as well as computer graphics, computer vision, virtual reality and augmented reality. The following topics are welcomed, but are not limited to:

•  Theoretical backgrounds/conceptual framework for ubiquitous VR
